Paintings using Watercolour

Watercolour Paintings My preferred medium because of the sheer 'chance' element built in. As soon as I put brush to paper the amount of water has a huge effect on what transpires. Painting on damp paper is quite different to painting on dry paper. Dropping liquid watercolour in with the pointed end of a brush can intensify tones. Lifting off with tissue, damp cotton-wool or a brush, creates light. Tilting the paper is useful to smooth washes. I never know what will happen and most of the time the 'chance' element gives rise to some exciting results.
