Gouache Paintings I go to Claremont Landscape Gardens, a National Trust property, in Esher Surrey, many times a month, sometimes many times a week. I have painted dozens of pictures in all media of the beautiful views here, Recently I discovered some tubes of gouache and started to work on mounting board. This comes in many glorious colours and forms a great background for the paintings, which are opaque. They are very bright and you can use them quite thick for great effects. I have done many images of Claremont in this medium, also Oxon Hoath.
