Acrylic And Print Paintings The paintings in this section are a combination of acrylic paint and laser copies of photographs. It all came about because one day in the autumn I was about to use a combination of photos for composition and colour and sketches I had done at Polesden Lacey. The photos I had taken were very clear and I felt rather special, so I experimented by taking copies of them, maybe changing the scale, and sticking parts of these prints on to the canvas. I continued the image outside the print area and in many cases no one can see the join! They seem very effective, and I absolutely love doing them, especially as photography and painting are two great passions of mine, so why not join them! I have used this method with ferns several times, and the scrolls of violins! Plus the fascinating shapes in a saxophone!
